Usually, it’s bacteria that causes this from a cracked filling. During root canal therapy, we will give you a local anesthetic, and nitrous oxide, if you choose to calm your nerves.
First, we make a small opening into the tooth with a drill. Next, we clean the nerve chambers of the tooth.
Once cleaned, the spaces are filled with special material to ensure the root canal are sealed off. Lastly, a crown will be properly fitted to your tooth, and then all done!
